Mahapaarshva Killed
Thus Mahaparshva enraged at the death of Mahodhara started destroying the Vanaras of Angadha’s Army. This was akin to Fruits falling during storm he with his Bhanas (Arrows with feathers) he simply severed the Heads of Vanaras from thier bodies. Some he slit them open on upper Rib cage region; some lost their Hands; seeing the incessant Arrows coming from Mahapaarshva Vanaras lost their heart and interest to fight it out.
Seeing his Army being persecuted like this Angadha’s pride swelled like the surging Sea, he took hold of an iron Pariham (Javelin with Mace) pounced on Mahapaarshva and hit him, Which made him faint and fell to the ground with the Charioteer. Jhambhavaan Jumped taking a huge mountain decimated his Chariot and Horses. After 1 Muhurtham (1½ hours) Mahapaarshva regained composure he harassed Angadha with torrent of Bhanas (Arrows with feathers). He pierced Jhambhavaan with 3 Bhanas. He slit Kavaksh with many arrows. Seeing the 2 being tormented Angada got enraged and furiously swirled the Pariham Weapon and hit him hard. That broke the bow, arrows, Crown of Mahaaparshva Angadha jumped and hit him hard on his cheek. This infuriated the Rakshasaa took a huge Sickle and threw it on Angadha. It dazzled as it was being oil polished daily; it was as strudy as a hill; it came and fell on the Vanara Warrior’s shoulder. Angahda deftly evaded it and hit Mahaparshva on his Chest hard. Angadha who was equal in Strength and Prowess to his father. Knowing the nodal point of Life with his Vajhra (Indestructible alloy) like Fist in his Heart, made Mahaparshvas Heart torn apart and fell dead. Seeing that his army was floundering, Ravana became uncontrollably angry. Indra in the Sky Lane got exhuberant, let out a Victory Cry and Vanaras made a Lion’s Roar. Both these Sounds synchronized and resonated which made the Towers / Arches, Buildings, Fortress developed cracks. The Lord of Rakshasaas got furious and again started for the war. (Slokas 26)
