Saints do Charanagathi
Sarabhanga attained the noblest world then the Saints there “The Omnipresent God who dazzles with his own Illuminence has been born in Ikshwaku Lineage, due to our Bhagayam (fruits of good deeds of past Births) has come in search of us. All the Penance, Dhanam what we have done so far has fructified today. All converged with the intention of seeking his Divine presence and be Noble blessed, like the daily wage earner gets a treasure of immense wealth of 9 types; with unsatiatiable Bliss came from many directions. They were Vaikanasa (those born from God’s Nail), Valakilya (from tail),Samrakshapalaka (those constantly cleansing their bodies with water), Marichipa (who drink always the Sun & Moon’s rays), Asmakuttaa (who rub punch themselves with stones), those who eat Leaves, Those who eat granary / cereal with their teeth using it as Pounder, Those who stand in water always upto neck deep, those who sleep with their heads on Chest, Back or shoulders, those who do not sleep and are standing upright without bending, those who have Water as their Food, those who eat Air, those who sit in the edge of Trees, those who sleep on the Kushal grass (Dharbai) laid out on top of the floor, those who constantly observe Fasts and do not eat, those who always were wet dresses, those who constantly recite Japam (Verses on God’s Name), those who chant always Vedas, those who do penance in summer amidst 5 Agnis (Fire in all 4 direction + Sun on top) - All these People came there. They were Dazzling with Illuminance and Aura as they had learnt the Knowledge of God which caused their Aura; they were exponents in Ashtanga Yoga.

Those Saints came to Rama who knew every Dharma and was the best amongst all. Knowing they had no refuge other than Rama having been inflicted / heaped by Torments by the Rakshasaas, and Rama has taken incarnation to protect all in this world for the Good of everyone and Rama is worthy of Charanagathi ( Last resort is to fall at God's Feet and seek his guidance, for he knows what is in store for us) - this they clearly understood. They made several types of Vignyapana (appeals / requests / pleas / inquisitions) to beget his Mercy.”Rama ! Great Warrior ! Indra is the Lord of Celestials. You are also the greatest in Ikshwaku Dynasty and are you not the Jewel of Raghu Kula (Lineage)? You are the one who protects and Feeds the Universe. Since you have killed Viradha and given mukthi to Sage Sarabhanga you have earned Fame and Name in all 3 worlds as the greatest PARAKRAM (Achievement, Might, Puissance, Exploits, Valor, Heroism , Gallantry, Prowess, Ability) Valorous person. Even though you are the Lord of all the Worlds, since you have taken the avathar as warrior, you are showing how to implement Dharma. By forsaking the Kingdom for your Father’s word you have shown your Devotion to your Father; Despite all the pleas / prayers by Bharatha you stood stead fast unto Your Pledge thereby not Faltering on Sathyam (Truth), by offering Moksha to Sarabhanga you have Bhaktha Paripalanam Dharma (demonstrated Yourself as the never failing implementor of Bhakthas wants) is also dwelling in you.**( Bhakthargal kuraitheerka Hasthinapuramthanil Amarndhanaiyo Amma in Janakapuri Arul Vakku – are you seated in Janakapuri to fulfill totally all the Yearnings of your Bhakthas Amma?) You are Dharma Atma; those who seek refuge in you you are fully aware of the Dharma of protecting them, and also fully implementing them. Allcreaures do Virumbhu (Desired, Loved, sought after, Yearned, posessed, sublimely submitted) You and you are are worthy of the same. We have come to seek one alm , we will express our self to the extent our intellect permits, Please do pardon this Aparadh (Unpardonable acts such as sin, misdemanour, delinquency, infraction, violation, crime, offence, guilt, lawbreaker, crime, outlaw, felony)It is justified for those who seek alms to go and stand in front of Great Souls, by seeking your Charanam (to fall at God's Feet and seek his guidance, for he knows what is in store for us) will fulfill our task. Jeevanie Living beings should adopt this Upayam (route / approach / Suggestion / tactic / stragtegy / Path) only. We know the justification that we should not pray, but we are informing you of the travails we are facing and unable to bear same; which may be pardoned.
It is your inborn Dharma to protect those Creatures who live in your Kingdom. The King who takes 1/6th of the duties (Taxes as well) from his subjects and does not protect/nurture them as his own children he will befall a big Adharma (harm to his quality/character). One who without Laziness, very carefully, like his own Life and values more than his own Life, and guards his Subjects like his own affectionate Children, He will get Limitless Fame as long as Time lasts. After he dies he reaches Brahma Lok (World of God Brahma-creator) and is honuoured by God Brahma himself. But if you ask ‘what is the use of protecting the Saint who does not pay Tax?’ King gets 1/4th of the greatest Dharma earned by these Saints who live austerily live with Fruits, Roots, Vegetables. Whereas Rama you are the person who does not expect anything from anyone in protecting everyone including your citizens. That is most appropriate reason for seeking your Charanam.
Most of the Vanaprastha (Stage of Life after children, grand children, you foresake all including wealth, desire, Lust, Anger, vengence, malice, enmity etc and go and Live in Forest with meagre Food, available comforts, meditating and Praying to God for salvation) persons here are Brahmins and you are the Lord for them. Despite that they are killed like Orpahns by the Rakshasaas. The Carlessness in guarding your Devotees does it behove off you? Look at the bodies of Saints who are in constant meditation of you and in Samadhi (State of concentration by Meditation on God and one with him and oblivious of surroundings). See the bodies of the saints which have been Cut, Split, Bitten, Burnt and killed. The travails of the Saints near, Pampa, Mandhakini and Chithrakoot can’t be described. If one asks ‘Do not be concerned about your Body and do penance, then this is not concerned about our Bodies; Are we justified in silently watching the Anyaayam (Atrocity, injustice, Unrighteous, Unethical, unlawful), Torture & unpardonable acts metted out to the Great Souls? We are seeking Charanam (Refuge) unto you, as you have the capability toe protect the all worlds. We who have been killed by Rakshaasa have been awaiting your incarnation. Please protect us as we have none in the universe who can deliver Gathi( refuge, final deliverance from birth and death, path, pace, soul’s birth, state, instrument to achieve) other than you.We have no God other than you both in this World and Outer World’ - thus they prayed.
Rama said “Can you speak like this, I have considered your Chranagathi as your Commanding Order. Saying Protect me is unnecessaray. I have come to this Forest exclusively to alleviate you from the troubles given by Rakshasaas. I have come here for Pithru Vaakhya paripalanam (Implementing and Fulfilling Father’s words) is merely a Divine Dispensation. Hence this Tenure in Forest will confer me the Noble benefits. I have decided to kill your enemies in battle. Please do watch my Valour and Lakshamana’s Parakrama” - thus he gave them courage.
Thus having given Saints the Abhayam (Protection gaurantee, Refuge, fearless ness, assurance), and one who has the Aacharam ( Respectful behaviour, Courteous, Humble, clean, pure in thought action and deed) and one who is worthy of worship by them, Rama left with Dharmic focus along with Sita and Lakshmana to the Sudheekshana’s Ashram. Those saints also followed him ** (Souls having seen Paramathma, could not be separated again, so they were craving to be with God). (Slokas 26).
