Rama crosses the Boundary
Rama keeping in mind his Father’s command went far off early in the morning. After the dawn , they did Sandhya vandahnam (Prayers done during Dawn & Dusk), they reached the southern tip of North Koshla kingdom. They saw the land prepared for sowing the Rice/Wheat plants, the villages, and the gardens with Flowers blooming and went to far off distance in a speedy manner. In the big Villages and small villages they were conversing ‘ Our King does not have maturity. Will any one at this ripe old age succumb to Lust , will he do this injustice ? is there any limit to wicked Kayikeyei’s cruel nature? ;she is a Great sinner and Is hell bent on doing sins only; she is ruthless in talking;she has no respect ;she is focused on committing Sin; she she drove away the son Rama, who is Dharmathma, Lord of the World, and one who has won over his Senses, , Great Learned person and ever Merciful to the Forest. Is She a Female? King Janaka’s daughter by nature Sita is Blessed and of Good conduct and has always enjoyed the Sukham(Comfort, Luxury, Joy, Fun,Cheer, Love, Affection and fulfilled Desires); how will she now face Dhukkam(Grief, Pain, Anguish, sorrow, suffering, worry, heart rending situations unhappiness,)? After all Rama is his son;he is dear to the Citizens; can there be Dosh(Fallacy, deficiency, defect, flaw, offence, weakness, fault, imperfection, shortcoming, blame, catch, mistake, guilt, reflection, accused, culprit, delinquent, culpable, convice, blameworthy)in Rama? How did it occur to Dasaratha’s intellect to send Rama to Forest? How did his Heart dare to do it?’” hearing these words they crossed Koshala Kingdom.
Then they crossed the Holy River Devasruthi ,and went far off down South, crossed the Sea bound Gomathi River, in it’s banks where there were pools of water they saw herds of Cows grazing **(even today you can see Cows in herds moving about in Uthar Pradesh state in India ). Then they went to a far away place and saw Syanthika river adorned by Peacocks, Swans etc and crossed it, There Rama told “ Sithay! This is the border of Koshala Kingdom. The Land so far with wealth and Granary were given by Vaiwasvatha Manu to Emperor Ikshwaku, of whose Dyanasty we belong.” Thus saying ‘ Sumanthara ! When will I once more roam around hunt with my Parents in the Sarayu River’s Flower garden and forest? but you need not conclude that I am keen on hunting, if one goes on hunting without respecting time, the Kshatriya Dharma of governing and protecting the Land will get ruined? So when cruel animals torment people then it is appropriate and justified to Hunt.it is surprising that hunting was a hobby to Saintly Kings once in a Long time.’ Thus Rama went on sweetly speaking and they went a Long Distance.(Slokas 18).
