Valimiki is a noble person and is Pious, righteous,with empathy and just in his approach and was adept in skillful conversation. Still after getting Narada’s UpadesamBenidiction said “Hey Celestial Saint, you have given correct answer to my question, it is astounding that my happiness is ever increasing; even to think about our meeting” and thus celebrated and paid respects with his own Disciples to Sage Narada. Narada took leave of Valmiki rishi after getting his consent and left skywards to Deva Loka ie celestial world.

Vaalmiki after taking rest in his Hermittage went to nearby Tamasa river for taking Noon bath (earlier 3 times bath was taken during Morning Noon & Evening). Seeing the pure water, he addressed his disciple “Bharadhwaja see this water is so pristine pure where we are going to take bath, it is like the Saint’s heart clean & pure and is not contaminated by Kama Krodha (Ie Desire-Lust & Anger-Malice). Please give me my bathing clothes and Pot to enable me take Bath in this place. Though Ganga is near; by the time we reach there, it will be beyond Noon.SinceTamasa river’s water is good let me have bath here”. Bharadhwaja took the old clothes and Valmiki thus controlling his senses and Mind took bath. Thereafter Valimiki chose a secluded place where he could meditate in the nearby forest.

Valmiki who had attained powers due to penance & could curse, saw in the forest 2 nice Crouncha Birds male and female were enjoying themselves singing happily not being separated even for few seconds, without any ailments, without any care for the world & were singing melodiously and were shriekeing away to glory unihbittedly playing with each other. A Hunter shot an arrow on one of the Birds and they did not have any inkling about his presence nor did they even disturb him.Despite the presence of Vamiki Saint, hunter shot an arrow. That sinner did not even care for the Birds enjoying themselves.

Immediately that Male Bird’s chest was slit open and fell swirling on the earth and was writhing in pain and the Blood flowed from it. That Bird had Cock like Red colour Crown on its head, and was heady madly in love with its partner. Seeing it’s Male partner lying on the ground with wings wide open wincing in pain ; the female Love bird unable to be separated from it’s partner cried in abysmal sorrow it’s wailing in a heart rending manner; made those hearing became mournful.

By Nature Sage Valmiki has compassion towards all Living beings, and he thinks for their welfare always, being a great Noble person. While he was witnessing the Male bird had been killed by the hunter suddenly; and the anguish caused unto the female Bird made him grieve said to himself “ Killing a Bird when they are in Love is Adharama (unjust) .Seeing the plight of the female bird he got angry with the hunter said the following

“Hey Hunter!! These Crouncha Birds were ecstatic in their Love and playing and shrieking not giving a thought to the same You have killed the Male Bird , hence “You will for many years will not be able to stay in one spot and Loiter around “

Immediately he realized and said to himself “seeing the Female bird’s sorrow I was moved and have uttered something. Is it worthy of me? when I have learnt to control my senses , Kama Krodha (Ie Desire-Lust & Anger-Malice).I gave place to Anger which will spoil my penance (Thapas) How come this happened ? what is the reason?” and started to contemplate.Being a Great intelligent person “The words which were uttered seeing the anguish of the bird may look like a Curse superficially , but they have 4 parts , each have equal number of Letters. They are in consance with Thanthri Lyrics for Instruments and Layam (tone synchronized union of song dance and music). Also they have (Sloka Lakshanangal) the essential features for a Verse (Sloka), and they are not mere combination of words. Let this become a Sloka (Verse)”and thus informed his Disciple. Bharadhwaja also said the Sloka with utmost humility. Thus his Guru Valmiki was happy.

Then he took bath as per rituals and did prayers and retruned to his Hermttage. But he was constantly contemplating on the Verse that came out due to Divine dispensation. Great Learned Bharadwaja followed Valmiki with Pot full of water. Valmiki went and sat in his cottage and shared with his disciples many Holy stories . Being a Noble man his mind was constantly wandering around those harsh words uttered by him addressing the Hunter which were against his grains.

God Brahma who has the capability to create all the universe and unimaginable illuminance and the 4 Vedas which oozes out of his 4 faces and the Chief of this Universe / Galxies and is capable of spreading Ramayana in the earth by himself. However he wanted to meet in person, Valmiki who by constantly chanting of Rama Nama, attains the highest position. Through Valmiki the devotee of Rama, God Brahma wanted to spread Ramayana. Brahma came to Valmiki‘s Ashramam (Hermittage). Seeing the benign presence of Brahma; who had come without prayers;Valmiki was immensely surprised . He got up and received Brahma with all humility and prostrated before him and gave Arghyam as per tradition then; enquired his well being and requsted Brahma to be seated. That time Valmiki was reciting involuntarily the Sloka with which he had cursed the hunter, when he killed the male bird, this was writhing in his mind despite Brahma having come there.

Brahma having noticed this said to himself “I have made Saraswathy Devi (Goddess of Knowledge) to sit in Valmiki’s tongue, hence this sloka has come to him involuntarily, this Vamiki does not know”. Smilingly he addressed “Hey Maharishi (Great Sage) I know about the incident (Hunter) and your thoughts. The words you uttered were Sloka (VERSE) only. Do not worry about that.i had decided to make you compose the epic of Ramayana which will extoll the all virtuous Rama’s incarnation and who helped resurrect the Dharama(Justice) by Living it out in Life . Therby all the People can hear this Story and get rid of their Sins and reach the heavenly abode.As per my desire only,Saraswathydevi sat on your tongue and made you recite the Sloka(Verse) starting with Manishad..So please compose the entire life of Rama into an epic as briefed unto you by sage Narada already.

“Rama, Seetha, Lakshamana and other Rakshasaas etc who are connected and their actions, those which are known to the world as well as unknown; will be known to you completely and thus I bless you for the same. In this epic you are going to compose, every word will be Truth and will not become false, Without effort the words will come as Torrent. I bless you with Hymns of Grace the Divine dispensation to see what actually happened as it is and also express same as it happened. Hence you can with Slokas(Verses) Compose this epic as the Rama Charitha or Auto biography will cleanse all the sins in it’s entirety and confer unabated Bliss . As long as there are Rivers and Mountains in this world the Ramayana composed by you will remain in existence.This is the greatness of this epic. As long as you compose and complete this epic Ramayana ; you will continue to be in this world. Therafter you will come to my noble abode of Brahma Lokam and enjoy the Bliss. That is the benefit you will get by composing the epic Ramayana” thus spake Brahma and vanished. This left Valmiki and his disciples in wornder.

Thereafter they started praying the VamikiSlokam

“MaaNishadaPratisthamTvamagamahsāsvatiSamaa

YatKraunchamithunaadekamAvadhiKaamamohitam.”
