Rama Lakshmana bound by Naga Pash

Then Rama to know the whereabouts of Indrajhith called the Strong Sushena’s sons, Neel, Angadh, Vinatha, Jhambhavaan, Saanuprastha, Rishaba, Rishabaskandha and sent them to search him. They also happily plucked Trees and searched in the sky everywhere. Indrajith stopped their speed with best of Bhanas (Arrows with feathers) showed his prowess in Archery. Their bodies slit in many places due to the Narasa weapon, like the Sun hidden behind the clouds, the speedy Vanaras could not locate Indrajith. Then Ravana’s son pierced Rama Lakshmana’s body with shower of Arrows with not a place to put even a pin. From those wounds Blood was oozing out steadily, Rama Lakshman Looked like the Palasa Trees having Red Flowers. Then Indrajith with his Fiery red eyes like the spilt Mie Mountain body did battle by hiding with his Mayaa (Mystic / Sorcerer and Magician / Hypnotic / exponent in deception with ability to vanish into thin air and appear in sky far away or nearby) thought to himself “Can even King of heaven Indra locate him? Can they reach me with any other strength? What to speak of you puny humans? Now I am going to send you to Yama Lok (Place where all dead go) with this Bhanas which are fitted with Eagle’s Feathers”thus with exteeme anger with sarp Arrows, slit the 2 Princes who does not falter on Dharma and made a Lion’s roar. He bent Huge bow and went on incessantly shooting Bhanas (Arrows with feathers). Since he was knower of Asthra’s secrets and the nodal point of human body’s of LIFE, He used the fiercest of Arrows in those respective places, and often made a thundering sound. Since Rama Lakshmana were adherers of Shabdha Vedha Vidhya they did not use those Arrows which can locate origin of sound and devastate. They were bound by the Bhanas (Arrows with feathers) which were in the form of Serpents and were unable to open their eyes beyond 1 Minute. The indradwajham (Huge wooden Pillar) which is installed and upheld by tie strings is cut off and falls, by the Ravana son’s Arrows having pierced all over the body they fell like a log of wood. With blood oozing from all over the body, bound tightly by the Bhanas which were in the form of serpents, were having unebaerable torture, they were having the bhanas as their bed. There was not a finger tip space in the body where bhanas were not seen. Head to toe serpent like bhanas had tied them up so tightly that they could not even shake. Being tormented by the Kama roopi Rakshasaa Indrajith, like the water seeps come from Hills, blood seeped from their bodies. Earlier Ravana son who had beaten Indra with Bhana hit with Arrows at the nodal points

of Human Life Rama fell 1st. He used very many types of Bhanas with sharp pointe tips such as with 3 curves, Narasas,crecent moon shaped Arrow tips, Anjali kangana, vathsadantha, Simhashanshtra (Lion’s teeth) etc (Narasa is an arrow which has the tip which is either full round or ½ round like a crecent moon. Pallam is like sickle tip, Anjali is like the folded hands tip, Vasthadhantham Cow calf’s teeth, Simhadhamshtra Lion’s Kora tooth tip, Ksharam- like barber’s knife edege like tip)and was again and again deeper wounds Rama’s grip on the bow losend and slolwly slid down on the Bow and fell on the ground. Lakshmana turned saw his elder brother lying on a bed of serpent arrows, seeing him thought it may be difficult to survive, Rama his elder brother whose body has been scorched with Bhanas and blood seeping out seeing him in such a state Lakshmana was anguished all Vanaras were inconsolable. Thus they were bound by the NAGA PASH (Serpent Lasos) with wound all over body, were lying unconscious Hanuman and others stood standing around them speechless without knowing what to do?

Dissertation of this Sargham

1. Rama accepted the Serpent Laso Bhanas as he is the Lord of the world and he has to obey the laws and can’t over rule in his Human incarnation and also wanted to respect Brahma’s Boon to Indrajith, so he voluntarily accepted binding by Naga Pash or else is it possible for Naga pash to bind him as he is sleeping on Adisesh all the while in Vaikuntam.

2. As the God is now born as Human made of 5 elements, he acted as the Human should do so that Human being will follow his conduct for Billions of Milleniums. Thereby he led by example that once you are born as a human there is no choice but to undergo suffering is the simple message here. Also it shows that those who follow path of Dharma may have to face temporary incoviniences there is always Light ahead (Slokas28).
