Sitha tells the Soothing Counsel
Sudheekshana granted adieu to Rama keeping in mind Ravana’s killing in future, While they commenced their journeySita thought “He will not falter on his promises made to Saints, I know that for certain, but if the battle happens with Rakshasaas then being away from me he will experience sadness” this owing to her deep affinity towards Rama and very cleverly spoke like this.
“ Prana Natha (Lord of my Soul)! Person who wins over 3 Doshas (Fallacy, deficiency, defect, flaw, offence, weakness, fault, imperfection, shortcoming, blame, catch, mistake, guilt, reflection, accused, culprit, delinquent, culpable, convice, blameworthy) caused by Desire only gets the greatest Dharma. That path is very delicate, Flimsy and Fragile.1) Telling a Lie 2) Sensual with Ladies other than wife 3) Tormenting those who are not enmical. When this be so You never desire or aspire for Ladies except me so there will never be any relationship with them. Your Epitome of Dharma and Soul so pure and pristine; hence you never fail on your promises, this is evident from Pithru Vaakhya paripalanam (Implementing and Fulfilling Father’s words) Hey person of Limitless Wealth (Character)! In Grit you are greater than Lakshmana ! the following are embedded in you Sathyam (Truth), Grit, Dharma , Wealth and other Chracter of Noble Virtues. This is easy for those who have won over the Indriyas (Senses) and I am fully aware that you have won over the Indriyas (Senses). One
Developes Dwaysham (Hatred, Vengeful, Malice, Enmical) towards those they have no enmity, and they torment them is a natural habit for common man. That has happened to you now. You have promised to vanquish the Rakshsaas who live in Dhandakaarnaya and save these Saints and for that only you have come duly Armed, I have heard your proclamin so. As you are a person who does not fail on Truth and also faithful to me only, I was concerened for you when you started to go after killing of Rakshasaas. So I thought do the way by which you will get eternal comfort and I was worried. Rama is Sathyavaan (Truth abiding), as promised to the Saints, he will not keep quite without killing those Rakshasaas. He also will not hurt / torment some one not antagonistic.if such Virodham (Enmical, opposing, contrast, mutiny, antognostic ) happens then I only should be the cause or reason, at that time you may have to part from me; being solely faithful to me you will not be abel bear the pangs of separation. I thought what we should do for this? Only Upayam (route / approach / Suggestion / tactic / stragtegy / Path) occurs to me. Your going to Dhandakaaranya is not to my liking. If you go duly armed into the Forest, being armed may be you have to hurt the Animlas with your Arrows. It is like the Log of dry wood near a burning inferno, that the Bow and Arrow enhances the strength and Tejhas (whose effervescence was Dazzling in all directions with Limitless Aura) of Kshathriys(warriors).
Let me tell you a story about this. Please listen. In earlier times a Sathyavaan (truth abiding) and handsome Saint was living in a beautiful hermitage. Indra (Lord of celestials) with a ruse to spoil his Penance gave the saint a Great Sword to be kept in custody. He used to take it along with him when ever he loitered into the Forest; Has he not to safe guard the material given to him (to be kept in safe custody) till he retruns to the owner? Since he was holding the sword in his hands always, his pious demure got changed totally, his Penance got scuttled / shuffled and cruel intellect / thought took over him and started tormenting the animlas as well. Got emboldened and with the company of the Sword left Dharma and finally fell in a Horrible Hell. Like the Agni (Fire) destroys nearby materials, the Armamanets will contaminate the noble thoughts of the Men. Due to the Love I have for you and the respect you have for me, I just reminded you which you probably already aware of.Please do not think I am teaching / counseling you something you are not aware. You should never kill Rakshasaas without Virodham (Enmity, opposition, mutiny, antognism). It does not behove of your Nature.Nor will I like it. This intellect will change slowly but surely and make us hurt any Living being.if you ask “Wearing the Weapons is it not Kshatriya (Warrior’s) Dharma?” Kshatriyas should wear the weapons only to alleviate the troubles caused to the Saints in Forest. ‘Don’t we need weapons at least for that?’ if you ask wearing them at this time in not appropriate. We wear the Weapons when you are ruling the Kingdom. We now come to the Forest leaving the Kingdom. Where is the Dharma of not tormenting the Animals? Where is the Penance which searches for the well being of the world always, these are contraray to one another. Let us observe the rules governing the Dharma - law of Forest. Let us keep aside the Armaments and do Penance. These weapons contaminate our Mind / Intellect. After we return to Ayodhya we will observe the Kshatriya Dharma. By doing this both Dasaratha and Kaykeyi will be immensely pleased. Through Dharma one will get Artha (Money / comforts), Sukham(Comfort, Luxury, Joy, Fun, Cheer, Love, Affection and fulfilled Desires),Gnyana (Wisdom , knowledge of God) and through it Mukthi (God’s Feet).Dharma is the essence of this Universe. We should earn this Dharma by observing Fasts, Upavas and austerity measures and stretching our Body. By dwelling on Comforts & enjoying pleasures of Body and Indriyas will we get Eternal Sukham?
So it is essential we should with pure heart do Penance in the forest. Aren’t all the Purusharthas {(1) Dharma-Righteous conduct- Duty- Pious- humble-Charity -being Noble (2) Material-money, (3) Desire-ambition-Children, (4) Moksha-Attain God’s feet} and their means known to you? Typical of the Ladies’ nature I said these, who can teach you Dharma? Please dwell deep and consult Lakshmana and take a decision which you feel is most appropriate, please do not delay. (Slokas33).
