Rama’s Opinion
Since he has heard of the story of Pigeon, Pious people like Sage Kandhu from Sage Vasishta, not Kalangamal (Stirred, Coagulated, Contaminated, influenced, polluted) by Vananas objections, got clarity from Hanuman’s words he emitted his opinion.
“I have also got to say some words about Vibheeshana. You have only my well being in your thoughts and actions, so please Listen leisurly and let me know your final views.
(Since he had to abhore the recommendations made so far, he pacified them thus worried he might inadvertently hurt them. He is telling them with adequate reasons. The opinions mentioned by Sugreeva and others, Means and benefits are not correct. So they can be brushed aside. Though one can accept Hanuman’s opinion that Vibheeshana can be taken into fold, but his contention that he does not have Dhosh (Fallacy) is not correct. Which means ‘I have done Charanam’ is the only correct reason.
“When someone has come as Friend, I have no intention of giving him up. Even if he has Dhoshas (Fallacy, faults) my approving him will not be objected / accused by Pious.
{here word Friend refers to Charanam (Refuge, Your Lotus Feet, Shelter, Asylum, Help, Support or all of these). Even if he is not Friend, if he feigns as Friend is enough. While Sita did counseling to Ravana with well meaning words ‘if you want to survive, do friendship with Rama’ had conveyed the same meaning. While I have all the energy in all matters the Moment I hear the words ‘I have done Charanam to you, I have no energy left not to defend him’ By doing that if countless Dangers knowingly, unknowingly happen, if all the Animals stop me, because of which even if Death comes to me I can forsake the person who has sought my Charanam (Refuge, Your Lotus Feet, Shelter, Help, Asylum, Support or all of these). Let there be Dhosas as mentioned by Sugreeva; let him more gory sins; how cam i do an act which is not possible for me? By approving the Obedient I do not get any special fame. But by accepting the not so perfect attain my Charanam (Refuge, Your Lotus Feet, Shelter, Help, Asylum, Support or all of these), I do get fame. Pious will not consider this as a Mistake; instead appreciate it as a Virtue. The Sashtra Doctrine which says Shun the persons with Dosha (Fallacy, deficiency, defect,flaw, offence, weakness, fault, imperfection, shortcoming, blame, catch, mistake, guilt, reflection, accused, culprit,delinquent, culpable,convice, blameworthy) is not meant for those who seek refuge in me. Further ‘even if the person had a committed a Crime which is punishable by Death but he has sought refuge, then one should not reveal his indetity ‘says Shruthi.’ Is the meaning of Rama’s words).
Some great people are elucidating this in this way ‘One need not have complete implicit Devotion unto me, as long as he does not have Dwaysham (Despise, Hatred, Vengeful, Malice, Enmical) towards me, it is enough. If he has least bit of desire for Friendhsip is there, it is enough, even if he behaves like a Friend is enough. Due to God’s enormous Mercy he will very soon he will get his natural instinct. Or ‘in other words if he has the belief that God is the friend of every Living being including Ghosts’ with that Faith if he surrenders (Charanam) to me is Good enough. When myself have to go search and save him, when he himself has come and I have not saved him, with this I am ashamed of myself. When someone goes into a temple and Worships, he is thinking of the Shoes / Sandals he left outside, Unlike him Vibheeshana has left Lanka, Friends, Wealth and had not looked back, shunned the Enemies Charanagathi (Last resort is to fall at God's Feet shedding one's Ego, Anger, Attachment, Desire, intelligence and seek his guidance, for he knows what is in store for us) and come to me. He has come with the Faith that I am his Mother, Brothers and Friends and wealth. Even if he called me ‘Rama! I have come to your Charanam (Refuge, Your Lotus Feet, Shelter, Help, Asylum, Support, or all of these)’, next minute I would have ran to him and I am surrposed to save him. Like the Ganges flows to a physically handicapped person, when he has come to the place I am, he has done me a great favour. Should I not repay him for this helpful gesture? He has to only do Charanam and there is no need for him to do Archana, Dhaynam, Namskaram etc.
Further he has surrendered to me by Manam {Chitha (Memory) + Inner Conscience Mind + Intellect (Bhuddhi) + Ego}, Words, Conduct completely. Like the Farmer who is sowing seeds eagerly looks forward to the Rain, I am eagerly looking forward to someone to reach my Charanam so that I can fulfill my promise of Blessing him. Will I allow someone who has come to meon his own will? When I am anticipating that Ravana too will come, will I allow Vibheeshana not to avail my Blessings? If you all Object by saying ‘ If you do not accept Vibheeshana, you may get reduction in fame, but if you accept him, it will endanger us all’ I may forsake my Life, but will save my Devotee who has come to my refuge. In the world Like the Cow due to its Loyalty to a new Calf which it has given birth, does not look at the older ones; in case of Vibheesahna, I will leave you all. Further I am not able to see any faults which you people are portraying. Even if they were there it will be to my Liking. Like the Cotton of a ‘Muncham’ Grass when put in Fire will vanish without a trace, like wise the Sins Vanish the Moment devotee sees God’. As per that Shruthi So the People who have come to my Charanam having Dosham is not justified. Even if he has come with the intention of killing me fulfilling his aim is my Duty (as per Sri Sangamishra’s Opinion) ‘if that be the case why should the great Intelligent Vanaras accuse Vibheeshana’ they have immense Love for me and are afraid that he may cause Danger to me and are looking at only his Faults and and are unwilling to accept him. But Great Gyanam (Wisdom of Knowing the difference Atma (eternal) and the body (perishes) – Atma (Life force ) is the reflection of Paramthma (God) like water in Ocean, river, pond, tank, vessel and cup Is same. Atma takes the birth in different bodies as per karma) will appreciate me. if you ask ‘by not forsaking a sinner what Purushartha (Materialistic or Spiritualistic) benefit did you derive? What problems got alleiviated? What Sin got atoned?’ none of these.The benefit is that I should not be ridiculed by the pious. Like the Great Soul Pigeons which saved those who came to kill them, in their eyes I will not be lowered. **(Govindhaauadhi says God who is omnipresent, omini potent is surprisingly blind to the short faults of his Devotees who have done Charanam).
Hearing this Sugreeva understood Rama’s nature, was afraid that this is a dangerous act, shivering due to the overwhelming affinity to him said “Whether he is Good or Evil, this Rakshasaa is ungrateful. When he his elder brother is in such Danger when he has forsaken whim, whom will he not ditch? Lanka is burnt, Sons are dead, When Enemy has crossed the sea, and the Enemy is laying siege to your City can there be a greater tragedy then this?’ asked Sugreeva.
Rama thought “You have not understood secrecy of Dharma and my immense Power, and my pledge that I will save those who do to Charanam unto me, hence you are talking like this” smiled and replied him in Raja Neethi (Diplomacy and Strategic studies of international, National relations-Precepts on ethics of Governance for Kingdom, Constituional Law and Justice) he looked at all the Vanaras once and also the Punyavaan Lakshmana and said ‘No one can talk like this unless he is Learned person and Had not done service to Elders. In this we should see the important aspects. This will be seen in most of the Kings; also will be understood by experience in the world. It is said that the Paternal relations of the King and the neighbourings Kings are enimical. They wait for an opportune worse moments to cause havoc. But some Noble Kings of Integrity will always honour their Paternal cousins with Honour having faith in them as well wishers. Even such Kings may suspect this Vibheeshana of Noble intent. In this world of sinnners only good people are suspected. So greatest Sinner doubting Vibheesahana is not a surprise. So he had antoganised him and come here. So I have told the reason for his leaving Ravana and coming here.
You had mentioned that we should not admit someone who had come from Enemy Camp. Let us enquire that as per Rules of justice. I am not related to Ravana. Nor do I have any eye on his Kingdom. Ravana is considering him as Enemy but I have no such thoughts about him. Hence he will not ditch me. He would like to kill Ravana and want get the Kingdom. Out of fear that his intention will be negated, he will do any harm to me. ‘if you ask, can the Rakshasaas think so much, can’t there be Learned amongst them? So he can be admitted. Paternal Cousins trusting each other without guile do not mix happily; so it is natural there will be enmity amongst themselves. He understood there will be imminent danger from the strong Ravana, being afraid, he has come here, His words and tenor say it clearly that he has come to save himself.So there is no harm in admitting him; All will not accept the rule that despite his elder brother being wicked, they should obey them.Can all brothers be like Bharatha? Will all sons born to Father be like me? Will all friends be like you? Bharatha got his Kingdom justifiably due to Kayikeyi’s Boon received from Dasratha. I had said no o that, Bharath searched and found me with intense Devotion bowed to me and said “ Anna (Elder brother)! Kingdom belongs to You. You have to come after accepting it and come and rule it. I will do all service unto your good selves”. Can anyone other than Bharatah say this? (He did not take Lakshmana’s name as such a situation did not arise). There is no son who is fortunate like me. Unable to bear my separation, my Father died. Can there be a son who is so dear to his Father? Even if that be so to get a Brother like Bharatha and Friend like you is rare nay impossible. When I got angry that during Monsoon Sugreeva was ignoring me, hearing that Lakshmana tore him apart with Harsh words, he did not get Varutham (Upset, regret, perturbed, feel sorry, sad, pained, unhappy) with us with limitless affinity Loyalty appreciated and extending all possible help, can there be any Friends like you?

Is it proper for Rama to boast about himself?
Ans:-
Telling truth can’t be Boasting. Dhushayantha who was ever so merciful, who would not boast himself and ideal hero “When Pious get caught in conflicting situtaions of Dharma there instincts are the Pathway”. Thus he had portrayed himself as Pious.Anjhaneya had told that he could go around 1000 times Garuda (King of Eagle) who goes very fast in the Sky Lane. Dhandi poet says tell facts as it is cannot be construed as Boasting.
Hearing that Sugreeva realised that he could not brush aside Vibheeshana with rules of Justice. Since Vibheeshana’s secret motives are unknown, which occasion and when there can be danger to Rama from him was daunting Sugreeva, this was mainly because of the affinity he had for Rama. He felt that his and Lakshmana’s Charanagathi (Last resort is to fall at God's Feet shedding one's Ego, Anger, Attachment, Desire, intelligence and seek his guidance, for he knows what is in store for us) were supreme thus he wanted to remove Vibheeshana from being admitted said “Lord! You should not give room to Patience in this matter. He has been sent by Ravana and there is no doubt on that score. We should shun him right now. Ravana who is of Kapat (deception, cheat, Fraud, cunning) intellect has planned by sending him, wants to know our secrets / Strategies and thus destroy us at the appropriate time. Once you trust Vibheeshana he will not spare you or me from causing Keduthi (Calamity, Misery, Catastrophe, Harm, Evil, Havoc); or would he harm Laskhmana? So kill him and the 4 Ministers who came with him now itself by capturing them. There is no Sin due to this. He is great Cruel Ravna’s younger brother, apart from this what else to enquire about him?” having said this he realised that it has not affected Rama wee bit got angry due to his Love for him.
(Sugreeva adoptedthe ruse that god will not get angry, if someone hurts him, whereas any hurt to his devotees, he can’t tolerate hence he said harm may befall him or Lakshamana though in reality he wasn’t afraid).
Hearing that Rama wondered “this Sugreeva due to his intense affection for me has spoken like this. He felt it is time that I am all pervading Powerful. None can cause danger to me. It is my fast that is hould protect who come into my Charanam( Refuge, Your Lotus Feet,Shelter,Help, Asylum, Support or all of these),since it is ordained by Sashtras (Doctrines / testaments of Vedas) it has to be obeyed” this he wanted to convey to him. “Let this Rakshasaa be most wicked; or Pious; what can he do? Do you think to myself or those beloniging to em can he do a wee bit harm? Lord of Vanaras! You and your Army is thinking that you are saving me from a great danger.Without troubling you least bit, Please know that I can destroy all the Rakshasaas in the Earth, All Dhanavas (Demons) in all 3 worlds, Yakshas, Pishachas and other creatures at the mere thought with my finger tips I can decimate them. I do not need Asthra Shasthra (Weapon armoury and Weapon systems) etc; I do not need the help of other fingers in my hand; nor the knuckles in my fingers; the point of my finger alone is enough. What to talk of these Alpa (Insignifican, Puny, small, ignorable, measly/meagre, trivial) Rakshasaas in Lanka? It has not occureD to me to kill them or else if I decide can you see them in the next minute? So you need even dream of any harm to me from this Vibheesahana. Even if he is capable of doing harm to us; let my Life go; even then we should not refuse him. We should definitely save him. In this regard let me tell you a famous story. Please Listen.
There was a Pigeon in the Forest.On day a hunter cam and caught its wife in the net.Then Sun set.Darkness engulfed. Huge storm and rain lashed. So Hunter was hurt, hungry due to walking, loitered all over, came underneath the tree where the Husband Pigeon was perched. Then the pigeon’s suffering, decided to help him, but hesitated as the Hunter was an natural Enemy to it’s clan. Then the Female Pigeon spoke to her husband Pigeon “ Darling! Do not worry about me.Iam caught in this Hunter’s net. You have to concentrate on only one thing.This hunter has come to our place.He is our Athithi(guest).He is in agony due to being drenched in rain, shivering cold, utter darkness. To the extentpossible if we don’t do AthihtiPooja( Revering guest with hospitatlity)what everDharma (Righteous conduct,Just, Duty, Pious, humble,Charitable, respectful, humble ,Ethical,being Noble, all this done beyond expectation and without anticipation) we had observed till date is a waste.”. The husband Piegeon was not born in Brahma, Ksahtriya , trader or any other creed ; nor is it a Human to observe andyDharmas as per it’s clan; after all a Bird; Hunter is an enemy for Pigeon. He has captured it’s wife;shortly he will kill and eat it.If he goes to help him, then he will kill it also and eat it. Further he has not sought Charanam (Refuge, Your Lotus Feet, Shelter, Help, Asylum, Support or all of these)of the male Pigeon. He has not to come to its house. He came by incidently beneath this tree and said casually ‘Hey deity of this Tree! I hereby surrender to you (do Charanam)’raising his hands together over his head.That male Piegion thought the Hunter should be revered as a Ditey and worshipped.It brought pieces of straws and stalks and started a Fire, it made hunter to whither the cold. It brought the Fruits which it normally eats and came handed it over to the Hunter.Seeing his Hunger not being quenched, as it is customary to appease the Devathas by Ahuthi (sacrificial offerings During Homa in Agni kundaie Fire Pit), unable to earn some other meat, when it has it’s own body, how can it torment some other animal? It offered its own body in the Fire it had torched. Praying to the Hunter to appease his hunge it gave up its life and attained the Noblest Salvation.
That Pigeon I am talking is our Countless Army. Hunter is Pigeon’s sworn enemy; where as Vibheesshana is not our regular enemy. . Hunter abducted its wife; he did not abduct my wife. If Ravana were to come and seek my Charanam (Refuge, Your Lotus Feet, Shelter, Help, Asylum, Support or all of these) Justifiably I should save him by sacrificying my Life. Hunter did not seek Male Pigeon’s Charanam; whereas Vibheeshana has sought my shelter. He has come from the city of our Enemy and not an Enemy by himself. In my ancestor King Raghu’s Life, there was a debate between him and a Rakshasaa and in that King Raghu gave asylum to the Rakshasaa as he sought refuge, like wise Vibheeshana too has sought my Charanagathi (Last resort is to fall at God's Feet shedding one's Ego, Anger, Attachment, Desire, intelligence and seek his guidance, for he knows what is in store for us). Male Pigeon did extend all facilities, removed his anguish and gave up its own Life. It satisfied him; whereas we are searching for cruel Troturous methods to punish him. Not only him, we want to kill the accompanying Ministers as well. That Male pigeon despite knowing that Hunter was cruel, merciless, Enmical, and very clearly knew the He is the one who had done Aparadh (Unpardonable acts such as sin, misdemanour, delinquency, infraction, violation, crime, offence, guilt, lawbreaker, crime, outlaw, felony) spoke to him kind words and extended courtsies as per the norms ‘Rever the guest till his hunger is appeased’, without any Varutham (Upset, regret, perturbed, feel sorry, sad, pained, unhappy) or Guile in it’s (intellect or Ego or Concience or Memory) extended courtesies. Whereas we should be assessing his as a Pious person by his conduct, words and one is not proven as Enemy we have Convicted him as Eenmy, spoken in guile, decided to be treacherous to him and making arrangement to punish him as well. Human Body considers itself as the Soul or Life of an Ignorant person. Whereas the Same Human body considers itself as an instrument used for observance of Dharma of a Gyani (Wiseman of yore). For he has the Gyanam (Wisdom of Knowing the difference Atma(eternal) and the body (perishes)- Atma (Life force ) is the reflection of Paramthma (God) like water in Ocean, river, pond, tank, vessel and cup Is same.Atma takes the birth in different bodies as per karma) The Male Piegeon did not consider this as well and like the Sarabhanga Sage (rishi) sacrificed it’s body considering this as Thapas (Penance) whole heartedly.
That Male Pigeon was not born as a Human like me who has been conferred with the Yogyatha (popriety, fitness, ability and mental & spiritual faculty). Nor was it born in ikshwaku dynasty like me to save those who seek shelter. Hunter by birth creed and nature is Alpa (Insignifican,Puny, small, ignorable, measly / meagre, trivial); has no other go; merciless; doesn’t understand despite being spoke good; even to him that Male Piegon gave it’s Life and did it not extend hospitality? Unlike the Ditey which came in disguise of a Bird to test Emperor Sibhi of his generosity, this Male Pigeon is not a Ditey (Mini Angel) or Like Gajendra who due to earlier birth’s Punya Karma (benefits of Good Noble Deeds); Let it be so.
2nd Story as an Example:
One day a Hunter was chased by a Tiger came beneath a Tree, he sought refuge in a Monkey there, being saved by it he climbed the Tree.Then the Tiger came under the tree,saw the Monkey sleeping looked at Hunter and said “Please push the Monkey which is sleeping I will eat it and will not do any harm to you’ Treacherous Hunter beliving the Tiger’s words thinking to save his life pushed the Monkey down. Catching hold of the Monkey that fell, the Tiger said “Kill the Hunter who did Treachery to you’ thus it instigated the Monkey. Monkey which knew Dharma to save it’s Life acted as though it accepting the Tiger’s proposal and went bacak to top of the tree.It encouraged the Hunter who had done felony to it,waited till the sun rose and saved the Hunter and sent him. An ordinary Monky which did Charanagatha Dharma (An essential act of giving asylum to those seeking Shelter) it is surprising you as the Lord of Vanaras and son of Sun god not observing this!
I am a Human; born in Raghu Clan; iam son of Emperor Dasratha who reigned for 60,000 years in just (Dharmic) manner with hair growing grey; I have been tutored by Sages like Vasishta, Vishwamithra and has come to understand the inner meaning of Dharma (Righteous conduct, Just, Duty, Pious, humble, Charitable, respectful, humble, Ethical, being Noble, all this done beyond expectation and without anticipation); I am related to the Great Yogi (Person Detached from Life’s luring wants); I am known as Rama the embodiment of Dharma; I have created the Dharma which should be observed by Humans and led by example; ensure it’s compliance; If I myself torment the person who sought Charanam (Refuge, Your Lotus Feet, Shelter, Help, Asylum, Support or all of these), What will not the world do? It will kill those who are not worthy of being killed; This is to be done by person’s like Ravana and it does not behove of me. The Person who does not protect those who seek shelter, I do not to know which Birth he belongs to?.
If you object that ‘just because a Pigeon which did not have requisite knowledge or Practice did, for that sole reason it is not justified we should also follow it’. Then let me explain.
Kandhu son of Sage Kannva has told these testaments. He is born is a Great Noble Lineage. He knows the core of the matter in all aspects. He elucidates same as it is. Hence his words are Appropriate; there are also Adharam (Basis, Foundation, Roots, Fulcrum) for same in Vedas.
This was not created by him.The Rig Vedas due to slight misharmony is sung like Sama Veda, similarly the eternal Dharma has been espoused. This will give the same benefit as the observance of Vedas. It is loaded with lot of meanings and is in a concise manner and is easy to remember.Since you have not heard it you are so swayed.
“ We should have favourable towards person who protects us and conduct should be there, even if it is not so, and may not have the Physical features to convey total surrender, when there is no other go how better convey by reposing the total burden on to the savior is by mere folding of both hands is enough; all your Anguish will vanish. It will pave way for Blessings; this is the fastest mode of getting god’s grace is the Yougamudhra of Folding hands.it will easily entice even an independent person.what is the doubt in enticing God who is ever in waiting to ful fill his devotees desire? Even if he does not fold his hands, if he mentions to others that he is meek in God’s presence. Even if that is not there if he says words which are like Prayers is enough. Even if these 3 are not there his mere attempt to go to God’s place is enough. **(When Devotee goes in search of God, he the Amighty God comes running when he hears the Voice of his disciple) Even if he is Sworn Enemy we should not kill him.( Even Sita in Sundarakandha says the most noble Dharma is not to harass others)What is the benefit of showing our manliness to those who have done Charanam (Refuge, Your Lotus Feet, Shelter, Help, Asylum, Support or all of these) unto you? Shouldn’t your Valour be shown to an Enemy?
Further the person who is seeking at the time of refuge is reminded of his faults and is scared with apprehensions; or does not noticing the importance of delay or expediency he is totally committed to getting his job done; or he does not have humility at the time of surrender; nor is he not afraid of his wrong doings earlier; even if he fed up with the Life’s travails and wants to leave his body; at the end of Prarabhda Karma (Due to having desires unfilled when he dies) wants Mukhthi (Salvation of reaching God’s Feet); ‘I am helpless person; I have no other go’ thus he reaches to Charanam; even if he had with guile and teasingly said ‘ I have come to to you as Charanam( Refuge, Your Lotus Feet,Shelter,Help, Asylum, Support or all of these)’ with Virodham (Enmical) in intellect, Ego, Memory, Mind (Inner Conscience) utters ‘I have come to do Charanam’; the person who has faith in the Philosophy of Dharma (Just, dutiful, respectful, Ethical, humble) and who has steadfast Intellect knows fully well that this Life is ephemeral (short lived) and that he should attain and earn the Eternal permanent Dharma of Charanagathi ( Last resort is to fall at God's Feet shedding one's Ego, Anger, Attachment, Desire, intelligence and seek his guidance, for he knows what is in store for us). If he fails do it, it is more sinful to a learned person than a failure of an ordinary person. To the extent possible one should help with his Body, Mind (compassion), Money-Materials, the person seeking refuge; out of fear of the person who is seeking refuge or his relations causing harm unto us ; or ignorant of Sashtras or expecting a favour from the enemy of the Surrendering person; if one does not do all the people close to you will ridicule you; you won’t get salvation ie God’s feet.Not only this if a person who has the wherewithal to support the person who had sought Charanam and is witnessing his downfall, all the Punyam (Good fortune accrued from Past or being accumulated for future by Virtuous Dharma / good deeds / conduct) he done thus far is decimated; and they reach the person who had surrendered. If you do not support the person seeking refuge you incur Dosh one or many of these (Fallacy, deficiency, defect, flaw, offence, weakness, fault, imperfection, shortcoming, blame, catch, mistake, guilt, reflection, accused, culprit, delinquent, culpable,convice, blameworthy); ensures your Path to Hell; it ensures infamy in this world; it depletes strength, Vitality etc. I will go by the Opinion of Sage Kandhu. As I have taken vow to establish Dharma it is mandatory for me to follow these. All Living creatures will celebrate this; this will erase Sin; will give the benefit of Heavan.
“The Sruthi, Smruthi, Your affection,thinking it deeply then the desire to Reach God is the Root to Dharma” as said by Yaagnyavalkya’s smruthi the evidence of Dharma , even if the person who does Charanam (Refuge, Your Lotus Feet, Shelter, Help, Asylum, Support or all of these) is to be killed we should not reveal his whereabouts says testaments of Sruthi ; with Kandhu’s discourse gave Smruthi, Piegeon’s story showed the Sadhaaacharam (Conduct to observed); enemies shoud be wiped out. If you are going to admit strongmen it should be dear to him,the above 4 evidences should be adhered to establish Dharma. Now his pledge after verification is the 5th Evidence.
To attain the Noble salvation we have to follow the various paths many times over only will be beneficial; whereas Charanagathi (Last resort is to fall at God's Feet shedding one's Ego, Anger, Attachment, Desire, intelligence and seek his guidance, for he knows what is in store for us) is not like that. Even if a person reaches to do Charanam (Refuge, Your Lotus Feet, Shelter, Help, Asylum, Support or all of these) even once. Even that needs not be told by words or express phycially, just if he thinks in his Mind do Charanam is enough. If one prays ‘I belong to you; the one benefit I expect from you is to serve you’ I will releave him of all the Fear that may be like caused by the creatures / Spirts. Also will extend protection to those surrounding the person who sought refuge; this is my Vrat (Fasting dedication). I will not shun this anytime in any situation.
“No fear mean Moksha(Salvation at god’feet ). Thus he attain Abhayam (No fear); he who attains Brhama’s Bliss has no fear from anyone ‘i.e., he has become immortal – say Sruthi. Due to BrhamVidhya’s benefit, Moksha is attained by the person who does Charanam (Refuge, Your Lotus Feet, Shelter, Help, Asylum, Support or all of these) to God.
All those who were with the Devotee of Vishnu such as Cow, Human, Bird and all Living beings due to that Mahimai (Greatness, Glory, Honour, Achievements, Prowess) reaches Vishnu’s Feet. When Rama spoke like this Sugreeva’s apprehension got celared totally. Thus Sugreeva developed trust and Loyalty for Vibheeshana .
Then Rama, “Sugreeva! He wanted you to convey his submission through you. If you yourself go and bring him, it will relieve you of the pangs for delay and remove your guilt. You are most dearest amongst my dearVanaras. He has left his Relations, he has exhibitted his meek position and came here. Even if he feigns, it is enough, is my opinion. I have granted Vibheeshana Asylum the moment he uttered ‘I have come to your Charanam (Refuge, Your Lotus Feet, Shelter, Help, Asylum, Support or all of these)’ Are you hesitating ‘ How will I go and bring him?’ There is no glory in protecting Vibheeshana who is follower of Dharma. Giving protection to the Cruel Ranvana wouldn’t that be glorious? If I save Viibheeshana it will only save him and the 4 of his Minsters with him; whereas if Ravana is protected wouldn’t all the Rakshasaas will be saved? That is greater benefit. The Fame and Name I get will belong to you too. You are doubting so much on Vibheeshana! Even if Ravana without returning Sita comes and seek my Charanam (Refuge, Your Lotus Feet, Shelter, Help, Asylum, Support or all of these) I am ready to protect him. If he is not Vibheeshana and Ravana in that disguise, even then I will grant him Asylum. Don’t come and tell me. ‘He is not Vibheeshana, he is Ravana’ please bring him even then. Go and bring them now.
Seeing the Love he has for Vibheeshana who surrendered to him and also the confidence reposed shown by Rama to him, Sugreeva was over whelmed and was surprised. And was taken in by his generocity to even admit Ravana said “Rama! If I think of your natural Noble Virtues, your action is it a surprise? You knower of the secrets of Dharma, savior of Billions of Devotees, You are the Lord. You have no desire of your own whatsoever and are always focused on helping others. Only you can speak like this; who has tremendous Conviction to carry out your words. You have taken the incarnation for establishing Dharma. One Virtue of the 5 examples is enough to extend Shelter to those who seek Charanam; what is the surpise when all evidences are present in the case of vibheeshana? If you say ‘There is no use in praising me, only if you are satisfied you can approve Vibheeshana’ even though I said he should be severely punished, but in the core of my heart I knew he is innocent. Apart from this there are other evidences too. For the reasons stated by you and Hanuman the expressions which come out in the Gait, Mannerisms, Dess, Speech ,Facial composures also revealed and confirmed his Pious disposition. So far by not believing him due to ignorance I have earned the great Sin.Having come to know of the truth I should not delay even by a second. Vibheeshana pleaded with us ‘ Convey about me to Rama’ . But you so tirelessly espoused so long os that I get the Yogyatha (popriety, fitness, ability and mental & spiritual faculty)t o admit him amongst us. “Please grant us permission that Vibheeshana too join all of us” thus Sugreeva prayed for Vibheeshana to get all Parma Purshratha (Divine Blessings of Rama). Rama You should derive the benefit of Friendship with him. “hye Lord ! Please grant us Friendship of Vibheeshana as he is the knower of attaining the Noblest Salvation” - thus Sugreeva prayed.
“Then the King of Vanaras went to Vibheeshana . Hey greatly Blessed! Please pardon us for the dealy so far. Raghu warrior has granted asylum; he has asked me to bring you”. Rama hearing that , having removed the insitinctive doubts of Vanaras,having pledged to admit him, unable to bear the dealy due to the conversatiosn with Sugreeva and others , fearing by chance Sugreeva’s mind may change he himself very fast Like Indra (King of Heaven) goes towards Garuda (King of Eagle) He himself went approved by welcoming him (Slokas39)
