Vanaras enter Honey Grove
Angadha and other Vanaras including Hanuman felt Jhambhavaan’s counsel was the most appropriate and consented. Then all the Vanaras led by Hanuman with exhuberant Happiness started from Mahendra Moutain and went on Sky Lane. They had Huge bodies, like Meru Mountain and Rogue Elephant thus couding the sky. Maruthi was celebrated by all Animals for his Strength ,Speed as though thery were carrying him with their benign affectionate eye sight. They were the bunch who had decided Ragahava’s (Rama) Victory and Fame; they were proud of having achieved their purpose ; they were eager to convey to Rama the good news; They were anxiously waiting to have Battle with Rakshasaas itching in their hands; they had decided to reciprocate the help Rama did to Sugreeva; they were Large hearted.
Having travelled long distance, a garden equal to Indra’s ‘Nanadanam’ full of Trees , Creeeprs . That enchanted all the Animals which saw it; but none can near it; was well guarded by Sugreeva; that grove was guarded by the Vanara Warrior Dhadhimuka uncle of Sugreeva very carefully always.Seeing the Grove the Vanara Crowd became ecstatic “ Please give us permission to drink the Honey in these Groves” prayed Angadha. He also consulted the elders like Jhambhavan and others and said “ You can drink the Honey to your Heart’s content”. Hearing that Angadha had given permission the Vanaras jumped with joy; some sang; some danced; some fell; some bowed; some roamed about; some laughed; some Leaped; some blabbered; Some hugged each other; some pounced on the other; some were confidentially talking with one another; some were playing with one another; some jumped from Tree to tree; Some fell from tip of branches to the ground; some leaped to the branch up above; when some one was singing another went to him laughing; When some one was laughing another fellow went to him crying; some body went to him authoritatively; seeing him another fellow shouted at him.Having been drunk taking Honey unaware of themselves they were spreading all over the Grove.Amongst them there were none who was not drunk or satisfied. They had broken the trees, tore the branches, plucked the Leaves and Flowers thus destroying the Grove . Dahdhimukha saw this and furious he stooped them from doing so. He was threatened , though he was of immense Valour , in order to protect the Grove, he chided some, he persuaded some, some harshly spoken to , some were shuffled, some were beat, He tried stopping them. Seeing that the Vanaras with exhuberant energy, haughty drunkenness, forgot their fear for Sugreeva they surrounded Dhadhimukha and forgot they he was their King’s Uncle and opposing him was forbidden, abhorring it with disdain they scolded him and insulted him, tugged & pulled him here and there, scratched him with their Nails, bit him with their Teeth, slapped with their Hands and kicked with their Legs They made the Grove unusable.(Slokas 25)
