Thus seeing Rama Lakshmana fainted by Brahmasthra, Sugreeva, Neela, Angadha, Jahmbhavaan were hapless, and the Vanara Army was distorted and were aching in agony. Then great intelligent Vibheeshana with persuasive sweet words addressed the Vanara Leaders encouraged them “Do not worry; You not grieve that our Protectors are unconscious; In order to Honour Brahma they are lying bound by Indrajith’s Bhanas. That Rakhsaas with severe penace pleased the 4 Faced Brahma (God of Creations) got this Bhana of immense speed which had no obstructions from him then. Due to the respect he has for Brahma Rama Lakshmana are tied to it’s powers; after 1 Muhurtham (1 ½ hours they will return back to Normalcy). Should You worry about this?” said Vibheeshana. Then Hanuman in order to respect Brahmasthra, addressed Vibheeshana, “So far in our Army leaving aside the Dead but those who are Left and Living let us give them solace, come” thus with torch embers he searched in the Night the Vanaras wounded and alive.

Those whose Tails, Hands, Legs, Fingers, Neck Limbs have been severed, those from whose bodies Blood was oozing out, those still purging, urinating, those like huge Mountains but lying dead, those hurt by weapons and still lying, were seen at very many places. There was not a place one could take a step. They saw the Vanara Army commander lying injured like corpses. Thus they found out within 6 Nazhikai (2 hours 24 Minutes) 67Crore i.e., 670 Million Vanaras were killed by Indrajith, with the Boon he had got from Brahma. The Vanara Army which was like an ocean when they were foundering Vibheeshana and Hanuman searched for Jhambhavan.

Being very old, pierced by Bhanas, like the quenching Fire seeing that Brahma’s son Vibheeshana said “Oh My! Thank God! You have not beem killed by the Rakshsaas Bhanas”. That Vanara Warrior said “Hey Rakshasaa Warrior of great Vitality! I did not see where you were. I identified you from your Voice. Due to piercing of Arrows, my senses are not in control. Let that remain.

“Is Hanuman who was born to Vayu (God of wind) and Anjhna Devi providentially is he safe?” this he replied with greatly difficulty unable to speak coherently. “Sire What a surprise! You did not enquire about Rama Lakshmana. Nor did you enquire if King Sugreeva, Angada are alive. What is the reason for your having more affection for Hanuman than these people?” querried Vibheeshana. Jhambhavan replied “hey Great amongst Rakshasaas! There should be a reason why I should inquire about Maruti. If he is alive, even if our entire Army is wiped out we can still be alive. But if he is dead we all will become Living corpses. In Strength he is Like Vayu (God of Wind) and in Vitality he is Like Agni (God of Fire – Procreation for all Living beings as well) if Hanuman is without Danger, we can have attachment for Life” - said Jhambhavaan. Then Hanuman touched Jhambhavan’s feet did namaskara and conveyed his Abhivadhanam (Introduction of self’s origin / Lineage etc) seeking his blessings. On hearing Hanuman’s voice, though his senses were disturbed Jhambhavan was happy as though he has come alive said “hey Noblest amongst Vanara! Come; It is your duty to safeguard our Army There is none here who has that prowess. You are the only one who can do that greatest to help all this Army. This is the time for you to use your Valour. I am unable to find another suitable person for that. Please erase the torture that is meted out to Rama Lakshmana from the Bhanas, give happiness to the Vanara Army. On top of the Sea through the Sky Lane go and reach the King of Mountains Himalayas which is far away **(aproximately 2000 Miles) Beyond that is the Rishab Golden Mountain and Mount Kailash will be visible. In between the 2 will be a dazzling Ouhsadi Mountain (Mountain of Medicines). On its peak 4 Elixir like Medicine ie Mritha Sanjivini, Vishlaya karani, Santhana Karanai, Savaran karani will be radiating their effulgences themselves. Please go and bring them here, Please give Life to the Dead Vanaras and thus bestow grace on them.

Hearing what Jhambhavaan said, Like the Sea which swells by the rivers coming from all 4 Sides Maruthi’s Strength, Courage and Enthusiasm grew manifold. He stood on Top of the Thrikoota mountain and kicked it and was making efforts to climb into the Sky. He felt one Mountain was resting on another Mountain. It split into two, unable to bear his weight. One part of the the mountain went underneath. Due to his Velocity the peaks shattered the boulders fell with Flames. The Trees there also broke, Boulders split; when the Moutain was shaking the Vanaras were unable to stand on it. In Lanka the Minarets / Gopurams/ Arches and nearby houses broke and fell. The Fort entrances were shaking. It appeared as thought that Night Lanka city was afraid shivering and foundering. With a Mountain like Body, he kick started from Thrikoota Moutain he stirred the Earth & Sea. Then he climbed on the Malaya Mountain. That was a really tall mountain like Meru Mountain, with many water falls, creepers, Lotus plants, with animals, Caves and was beautiful. Countless Devas, Gandharvas, Vidhyadahras, Saints, Sages, Apsaras (Celestial Angels) were living there blissfully. It is 60 Yojanas (13.2 miles tall) The residents there seeing his figure and his Valour were scared to the bone. Increasing his Body size he opened his Mouth Like Vadava he Roared so heavily that the Rakshasaas will remain indoors fainted till his return. Hearing that, all the Creatures were surprised and scared and became numb. Then Maruthi with thought paid respects to Rama; and prayed that the task he is undertaking should not have any obstacles and Rama should Bless that it should be completely achieved. As a mark of his service to Rama he raised his tail like Giant Serpent, bent his back before leaping, Closing his ears inwards, opened his giant Mouth with tremendous Velocity jumped / Leaped into the Sky and started his journey. (Raising his Tail is indicative of his Enthusiasm, Bending his back was to hold his breathe to get the requisite Momentum, By folding his Ears increased his Strength, opening his mouth he paid all his attention to the task - is the dissertation of Srinivas Iyengar). Due to his Velocity he dragged along with him Groves, boulders, and the Monkeys living there for some time and they fell off into the sea as their relative velocity reduced. Stretching both his hands in the front like the giant Serpent, equivalent to Garuda in Vitality, due to his Velocity it appeared he was dragging the Directions with him, reached the Greatest Mountain Meru. He went like the Maha Vishnu’s Chakra Ayudha (constantly revolving Wheel weapon with sharp tooth on it’s rim) on the way looking at the Sea having waves with Marined mammals foundering in it. He also saw Mountians, Lakes, Groves, Rivers, Ponds, Cities, Countries, Forests, with the speed of his father Vayu (God of Wind). He went without any tiredness in the Sky Lane without any hindrance. The sound generated by his forward movement rented the Air. Remembering words of Jhambhavaan feeling he should not cross the Oushadi Mountains he reduced his Velocity slowly.

Shortly he saw the Himalays.With many waterfalls, Caves and White clad Mountain peaks with many types of Trees,. In its peaks and foot hills pure Hermitages and the Sages were seen by him. The 4 Faced Brahma’s House, Indra’s House Kailash, the place where Rudra playfully shot Arrows, Place where Hayagreeva is worshipped, the place where Brahman’s 5th Head was severed by Rudra, the Gramani who render service to Sun every month where they can relax, place where Indra got Vajhrayudha from Brahma, Kubhera’s residence Dazzling like Sun, To appease Chaayadevi Vishwakarma caught Sun with a stone of Chaanai and cut off his Rays that place, throne where Deities visit Brahma for audience (Place where Brahama Rishis Live) place where Paramshiva’s Bow rests, the entrance to Pathaala Lok, the ‘Himavach Sila’ boulder near Kailash, Rishab the Medicinal herbs Mountain, Meru Mountain on the East, Due to the best of Herbs (Medicines) Dazzling illuminence in the Night he saw the Mountain.

He was surprised to see the Mountain and climbed on it and started searching for the Herbs. Having come thousands of Yojanas unable to find them he roared in frustration. Those Oushadihs (Medicinal herbs) became aware that some one had come to snatch them away, they hid themselves. Unable to bear the insult in anger with his eyes becoming red looked at the Mountain “Hey! Don’t you have Loyalty or Pity for God Rama, You are stopping me from the Noble task for which I have come does it seem to be proper for you? With the strength of my Arm you will be powdered in no time, you will see that” saying this Maruthi along with Groves, Animals, Minerals, Peaks, Creepers, Deva (Celestial), Gandarva, Sidha, Charana, Entourages that Noble Mountain caught hold of it shook it fast. Strung his Tail around it plucked it out, with Deva, Asuras trembling with those Entourages celebrating in Sky he came back very fast like garuda. While Hanuman who was Dazzling like the Sun and was coming in the Sun’s path looked like a reflection of another Sun, looked like the Chakrayudha with 1000 Pinnacles dazzling from the medicinal herbs thus Hanuman was seen.

Vanaras sighting Hanuman shrieked aloud. He too on seeing them gave a Victorious Roar.** (Nearing of the Oushadi Moutains containing Mrithya Sanjhivini-Vishlya karani-Sarva Karini- Santhana karini had brought all those 67 Crore Dead Vanaras back to Life it seems so). Hearing that Roar the creatures of Lanka were hysterical with fear. Anjanyea jumped atop the Thrikoota Mountain carrying the Sanjivini Mountain. Maruthi affectionately Hugged Vibheeshana. Rama Lakshamana just by smelling the fragrance of those Medicinal Herbs, with the Arrows, falling apart, Wounds healing, with the torture of the wounds Vanishing got up. All those Dead, Injured with their wounds healed and Torturous pains vanished were with extra Aura and Strength as though freshly got up from Sleep with redoubled Vigour. Since the beginning of War, in order that he knew the count of Rakshasaas dead Ravana had ordered the bodies of Rakshasaas dead & grieveously injured Soldiers also to be disposed into the sea. Hence the Rakshasaas did not benefit like the Vanaras. Thus Vayu’s Son went back again and kept back the Oushadi (Medicinal Herb) Mountains in its original Place.and returned and stood near Rama.
