These are the 6 part of Charanagathi (Last resort is to fall at God's Feet shedding one's Ego, Anger, Attachment, Desire, intelligence and seek his guidance, for he knows what is in store for us). Vibheesahna who had desired to surrender to Rama, it was shown that the first 2 he had earned. Since often Rama’s mercy was mentioned; the faith one should place on the Protecting was also shown. Now expressing the status and expounds the Philosophy of Charanagathi.
Thus Vibheeshana having conveyed harsh words to Ravana, within 1 Muhurtham (1 ½ Hours) reached the place where Rama and Lakshmana were.

Notes:-
WhenRavana insulted him, he felt “Chee! I shouldn’t stay in this place. I should go to Dharmika Rama permanently” such a Dharmic intellect dawned on DahramicVibheeshana. And this Sage Valmiki is applauding.
Thus Says:-.
“Go and Leave Janaki with Rama” this is the simplest solution recommended to Ravana by Vibheeshana. If you don’t then he says “ Rama’s Bhanas will severe your Head”, is the immenent Danger he expoud to Ravana clearly .
Harsh:-
Just the Breeze is pleasant when the Lovelorns are together and creates pangs in absence of another. SimilarlyVibheeshana’s well meaning words were harsh to Ravana due to the company of Bad people around him.
Communcation to Ravana:-
Vibheeshana who was well wisher of His Elder brother, when danger was coming to Ravana, he did not want to earn a bad name that Vibheeshana ditched him so he tried hard to convey sense to Ravana. Ravana treated the Strong & Weak alike what was the use of talking about Enemy’s strength?
Vibeeshana:-
Though born as younger brother to cruel, wicked Ravana he had Satvic (Piuos) nature, so he convyed the wise counsel benifiting Ravana without fear or favour - this Valmiki appreciates. When giving counsel for well being, one need not see age; Angira’s son Kavi, he taught Vedas to Elders and while imparting Gyanam (Wisdom of Knowing the difference Atma (eternal) and the body (perishes)- Atma (Life force ) is the reflection of Paramthma (God) like water in Ocean, river, pond, tank, vessel and cup is same . Atma takes the birth in different bodies as per karma ) he addressed them as “Children” even though they were much elder to them. Manu says an ignorant person is ‘Child’ and the Teacher is ‘Father’.
Vibheeshana Reached:-
Since Ravana’s company was no more related and Rama’s company is his House instead of saying ‘went’, like a person who gone for Long travel on his return to see his wife, children relations reaches home so Vibheeshana reached Rama.
1 Muhurtham:-
“Fire should be in the centre of the Flame’ Instead of Devoting with God, even spending few seconds with those who have malice towards God. Accordingly Vibheeshana left the Royal assembly and reached Rama within 1 Muhurtham leaving all his people, country, status, wealth spontaneously.
Place Rama Lakshmana stay:-
‘Like it is blessed to be in the Chaithraratha garden of Kubhera (God of wealth) so also Chithrakoot is blessed as Rama had stayed there’ So wherever Rama Lives is to be desired by us.
With Lakshmana:-
Lakshmana will never be away from Rama. We should desire the place God stays, similarly where Devotees stay there is where God comes so being with Lakshmana is stated.
Question:-
Vibheeshana learnt all the Dharma’s due to Boons of his grandfather Vishrawas greatness; he did not have the Dosh (Fallacy, deficiency, defect, flaw, offence, weakness, fault, imperfection, shortcoming, blame, catch, mistake, guilt, reflection, accused, culprit, delinquent, culpable, convice, blameworthy) of Rakshasaas ; when his elder brother who was equivalent as his Father since Childhood had nurtured him and helped him grow and emancipate how can Vibheeshana leave him ? even that is ok. Can he join his Sworn Enemy Rama who is out to Kill Ravana? Even If he had joined should he make efforts so that he will get his Elder brother’s Kingdom? Even if he does make efforts on that front should he help Rama to kill Ravana with strategies?Answer:-
As per the justice “We can leave our Elders if they forsake with Pride not knowing just ways go astray from Sanmaarg (Path of Righteousness with Focus on God)” since Ravana did many Aparadh (Unpardonable acts such as sin, misdemanour, delinquency, infraction, violation, crime, offence, guilt, lawbreaker, crime, outlaw, felony) to God there was no harm on Vibheeshana Leaving him “say some.
Sri Govindhacharya has some thing more to say, let us see;-
“Due to the greatness of the boon given by his grand father Vibheeshana was able to identify and know that Rama was none other than God Maha Vishnu who was the Lord of all the Worlds, and was worthy of etnire Living beings surrendering (reaching his Charanam) to him, Rama was Learned and was knower of all Vedantha & Sashtras (Doctrines of Vedas) and one who is approached by Mukthas ie Salvation. O Rama was incarnation of Vishnu. As the 4 stages of Purusharthas {(1) Dharma-Righteous conduct- Duty- Pious- humble-Charity -being Noble (2) Material-money, (3) Desire-ambition-Children, (4)Moksha-Attain God’s feet} he had done the 1st three, he had to go for the Final one especially since Ravana was going on the wrong path. If you say Serving elder brother is Dharma. yes it is an normal Dharma which Vibheeshana had been doing thus far. When Ravan was straying from this Righteous path, Vibheeshana tried to correct him at the cost of being snubbed in front of his kith and kin by Ravana. When he repeatedly tried thrice and realized Ravana was not going to change from his Lustful temperament nor his hatred for Rama was diminishing and is fast going into the path of destruction of self and the Rakshasaas (Not learning from Hanuman’s exploits). So Vibheeshana chose the Special Dharma of reaching God which is the ultimate purpose of every soul born in this world. He also realized by being with Ravana he would also become a Victim of Rama’s rage. As per adage ‘if you are silent witness when a Sin is being committed, then You are also party to that Sin’ Like Bheeshma was witness during disrobing of Draupadi & had to take many briths subsequently, contrary to the popular belief he ascended to heaven from bed of Arrows. So what Vibheesahana did by leaving Ravana and joined the Righteous Rama is justified.So calling him ungrateful is wrong.
Q:-
Did not Vibheeshana want to become King of Lanka hence he joined Rama?
Ans:-
It is clearly stated that when he surrendered to Rama, he had left is wife, Children, all his wealth and other comforts etc. SoVibheeshana did not have any such motives. Later he requested Rama “I have forsaken Lanka, Friends, Wealth. I believe that you are the Purusharthas {(1) Dharma-Righteous conduct- Duty- Pious- humble-Charity -being Noble (2) Material-money,(3) Desire-ambition-Children,(4) Moksha-Attain God’s feet}” thus.
Q:-
“I will kill Ravana and those who are with him in the Battle and make you the King.This Sathyam (Eterrnal Truth), Since Rama said like this can you not surmise Vibheeshana had prayed for this?
Ans:-
When someone surrenders Rama’s flow of Love is overwhelming and confers all the Blessings without being asked since he is omni present God. When Rama who gives the Eternal Moksha status also gives Long Life, Health, Wealth to those who think (Dhyan) of him. Hence you can’t add motive to Vibheeshana approaching divine Rama.
Q:-
Hanuman said ‘Vibheeshana has come with the intellect that You should confer him the Kingdom of Ravana to Him”. Even Rama had said ‘ This Rakshasaa has the Ravana’s kingdom in his Mind’ while that be the case How would the above explanation fit in?
Ans:-
Due to his excessive concern for Rama, Sugreeva doubted Vibheeshana. For correcting that Rama had mentioned this and to elucidate the Raja Dharma which Rama had to follow later (Since Rama is knower of All). We have to accept the Plea of Vibheeshana only as it is that of a Devotee who follows Dharma. When Rama had said ‘I will make you King’ Vibheeshana did not reply and prayed for serving Rama only.Then he said “ I will extend my Help to maximum exetent possible in slaying of Rakshasaas and destroying Lanka. Please include me in your Army”. thus. Though he did not want the kingdom, due to the insistence of Rama he accepted same when Rama replied him “Hey Lord of Rakshasaas! Hey great Warrior! As long as the People of Lanka exist you have to rule same, as I am keeping you as a Friend; do not stall my words nor should you reply it comes out clearly in Uthra Kandha.Then Rama offered His own Lineage Deity Ranganatha statue as an appeasement . Vibheeshana had to accept Rama’s ordain who had take the incarnation to reinstall Dharma, and also ensure the remaining Rakshasaas are diverted to Sanmaarg (Path of Righteousness with Focus on God) Vibheeshana unwillingly accepted the Kingdom of Lanka. Vibheeshana construed that carrying out Rama’s ordain is also a form of Rama Kainkaryam (Service). Similarly Lakshmana who is knower of secret tenets of Dharma told Vibheeshana “I do not consider Emperor Dasaratha as my Father, My Brother cum Nourisher cum Relation cum Father is Rama only”. Thus Lakshmana shirked the Father due to physique related but accepted the Eternal Father who is soul related.and told Rama “I will go in the front in the Forest clearing the path, I will do all services when you are sleeping and awake” thus he took service to Rama as the benefit as a Prayer thus caught hold of Rama’s feet firmly and did Charanagathi (Last resort is to fall at God's Feet shedding one's Ego, Anger, Attachment, Desire, intelligence and seek his guidance, for he knows what is in store for us). Likewise Vibheeshana too shirked Ravana who was related due to being born to the same Father (Physical relation) with a Desire and an intention to serve Rama the relation of one and All did Charanagathi ( Last resort is to fall at God's Feet shedding one's Ego, Anger, Attachment ,Desire, intelligence and seek his guidance, for he knows what is in store for us) unto him. So it is not justified to say he did not do his Dharma.
Q:-
‘When Rama Lakshmana were bound by Naga Pasha Vibheeshana lamented ‘On whose Valour I depended to gain Keerthi (Glory and Fame), those Great Humans have swooned, I am gone! Despite Living, lost my Kingdom and became a Walking Corpse. My Enemy Ravana has fulfilled his pledge, his heart must be contended’. Thus why should he be repenting on Kingdom?
Ans:-
Here Keerthi signifies Service to Rama. Kingdom is the Umberage of Rama. This Vibheeshana had said earlier during his Charanagathi and hence should be seen from that Light only.

“Hey Dharmavaan (Follower of Dharma)! You will get Lanka Kingdom. No doubt” were the wrods of Sugreeva how does it fit in here?
Ans:-
Sugreeva did not know inner goal of Vibheeshana, hence he spoke thus.

Vanaras saw the Rakshasaa Vibheeshana who were standing in the Sky like the huge Meru Mountain and dazzling like the Lightning streak . When Vibheeshana started from Ravana’s place Sugreeva knew about him.
{ Notes:- Vibheeshana : As the person who escapes from a burning forest fire comes and falls in cold Water, he saw him
Meru Moutain:- By Height, Size, adorned by Gems he was akin to Meru Mountain. It also represents that by forsaking his Ultimate enemies he has earned the Parama Sowkiyam (Eternal well being), Aura and Service to Rama thus he shone like the Meru Mountain. The Great Rama Mountain range got another other worthy peak. Also a peak from Ravana’s Mountain range went away.
Lightining steak:- Due to Aura and is Moving about in Sky, he was akin to Lightning Streak. The Vanaras who were Devotees of Rama may not accept me” thus inhibitions were going on Vibheeshana’s mind this made him tremble and wonder with anxiety whether he may survive.
Anala , Sarabha, Sampathy, Prakasa were the 4 Ministers were accompanying Vibheeshana and were approaching duly armed in the Sky Lane. Sugreeva saw them and thought that they were coming mainly to cause Disaster to them. Sugreeva who was extremely concerned about Rama even if he was coming to surrender, but when he knew that Vibheeshana is treacherous and he was ready to drive him away then and there. He was capable of taking decision without consulting anyone; still this being more important matter, and it is the RajaNithi – Governing norms which is to take the Vanaras into confidence and the person who was coming was he an Enemy or a Ploy to plant a spy? This was being doubted by Sugreeva. Though from his facial and physical features, do not seem to be an enemy, But due to the affection he had for Rama this doubt had risen. Hence he said to Vanaras “Friends ! Have you seen those 4 Rakshasaas coming duly armed towards us from Sky? He is not an Emissary; Nor is he servant sent in secrecy. It is apparent that he is the Enemy who has come to do Keduthi (Calamity, Misery, Catastrophe, Harm, Evil) for us. Since he is Rakshasaa he is Cruel; he is also coming with suitable weapons. It is impossible to kill all of us. Hence our Nodal point of survival Rama if he kills him, we all will not survive thus is he coming to harm Rama” said Sugreeva.
Hearing that all the Vanara warriors picked up Boulders and Trees and said “Lord! Give us orders immediately. In one minute we will kill these Wicked. These weak will be killed just now and fall in the ground” said they anxiously. The Great Intelligent Vibheeshana saw this developments “How does it matter when they talk amongst themselves? Will not Ragahva (Rama) personification of Mercy bow down to our plea? Knower of all won’t he know my intention? Protector of all worlds will he become non protector of me alone? With total Faith in Rama that he will protect him reached the Northern shore of the Sea, and he came fearlessly, exposing himself in the sky in front of those Vanaras who were out there to kill him. Thus he stood still. Not anticipating any benefits and despite having complete Faith that Rama will protect him, he did not proceed to surrender to Rama. But staying away he prayed Loudly to Sugreeva to recommend him to Rama.
(For Rama to protect him, the mere fact that he went in search of Rama. There was need for praying. Rama felt it a big burden when Vibheesahana unto him , Vibheeshanas Prayer was like adding salt to the wound. Since Vibheeshana was extremely intelligent “Rama will consider my thought as a Recommendation and he is the Merciful who will protect me; still surrendering Physically will be the respect we show to the King. These Vanaras acting against me in not due to the antagony against me; but due to the special affinity they have for Rama and the fear that some harm may befall him due to us, is what is making them sucpicious of us.Hence this a Noble trait. If Devotees of Rama do not support me what is the use of Rama supporting me? More than Rama supporting me winning the confidence of these Rama bahktas (Devotees) is the single most benefit he felt thus. In order that the great Human and Rama’s devotees who were to recommend him to Rama realise his plight , Vibheesahana made a Loud appeal.
There is a person who is making all the worlds tremble and his name is crooked Ravana. Accordingly his conduct also is crooked and cruel like wise in creed he is Rakshasaa; he is worshipped by countless cruel Rakshasaas like him. I am his younger brother.
(Even if I was born as his Elder brother, I am not bound by his orders. Like Kubher his faulties will not stick to me. Wheras I am born youger to him hence as per his orders I have become a victim all his fallacies and faulties).
People call me Vibheeshana. Ravana kidnapped Ikshwaku dynasty Rama’s wife from Jhanasthan; He killed the Rama Bhaktha (Devotee) Jhatayu who came to rescue her. Sita who was hapless is kept in prison with gory Rakshasis as security thus he had done immeasurable Aparadh (Unpardonable acts such as sin, misdemanour, delinquency, infraction, violation, crime, offence, guilt, lawbreaker, crime, outlaw, felony) to Rama.‘Anna (Elder brother)! go and leave Sita with Rama ‘ thus I had pleaded citing many reasons several times; Since his time for death is nearing, he just did not bother for my wise counselling words meant for his well being. Won’t the dying person even the best of Medicine will look other wise isn’t it? Ravana who is normally affectionate to me was without any reason he spoke to me with Harsh words and abused me like one does to a servant. So I got got vexed and left my wife, children and wealth, so I have to come to meet Rama and surrender to him to the Noblest task of doing service to Rama. Futher he did not refer any benefit and said ‘I will to the extent possible help in decimating Rakshasaas’ only reaffirms his true intetntion to be of service to God Rama. The person who has come to surrender, he made the appeal the savior and also to the Rama Bhakthas (Devotees) and appealed that they also convey this to my Saviour. So seeking refuge to Rama who is the succor of all Living Beings he made an appeal ‘I am Vibheeshana, I have come here. Quickly convey my message on my behalf”. He said.
(Rama does not see the Lineage, Conduct, Knowledge, etc whatsoever but instantly gives refuge to all Animals. Since Ravana has done lots and lots of countless Harm, even when he has the right to seek refuge in your mercy why wouldn’t I get your patronage? Ravana due to Contaminated mind has not availed of his share of your Mercy. Not my share where I have come with sincere devotion to Rama seeking his patronage can you please convey this message unto him? ‘Great Soul Rama’ adage refers he is the noblest, and very easily accesible are the 2 Noblest traits. 2 easily accessible materials are Stones and Wood; but there is no use of them; nor there any who desire for it. Meru Moutain is the Noblest, but can’t be reached easily; there is no use in desiring for it. So both Virtues are essential. The Material which is not accessible by Manam {Chitha (Memory) + Inner Conscience Mind +I ntellect (Bhuddhi) + Ego} or Indriyas /senses

Do you need any more explanation or evidence than God has taken incarnation as Rama in which he is Sowlabhyam (the ease with which God Rama is able to mingle freely with all creatures including Humans,The uninterrupted and ease of union even with those who are no match to Him and he can do it with much ease)? In his Eternal greatness the Knowledge that which does not diminish, and treasure trove of all Virtues is in his Human incarnation, hence he is a great Soul. Please convey the following Iam a great Sinner, I now have implicit Faith in Him, I have now taken the correct path of Charanagathi (Last resort is to fall at God's Feet shedding one's Ego, Anger, Attachment ,Desire, intelligence and seek his guidance, for he knows what is in store for us) philosophy which will ensure my protection, and I have come only to do service unto Rama only, please do submit these to him on my behalf” Before my savior comes and accept me, by recommending me to him, you all have become my Friends.
When Rama has given shelter to You people who live by eating Fruits and Vegtables in Forests do I need to have doubt in my case. When Rama who forgave even Sugreeva, who forgot the peldge given to him with ever great Mercy , when I have tried to the best extent possible to return his wife, what is the obstacle in saving me? is there not a Mercy for me when Kaka Asura (Demon in Crow form) did the greatest Sin was pardoned with ?
In Rama:-
Rama who comes from the Lineage of kings of Ikshwaku e.g., like the Emperor Sibhi who gave the muscles of his body to protect a Pigeon, Wouldn’t he save those who seek refuge unto him? It is his casual habit.
Great Soul:-
‘I know this Great Soul‘ as per this doctrine, ‘I know that Rama is the Greatest Human as described in Vedas’ as told by Sage Vishwamithra I know the Great Rama who has taken incarnation as Human.
Myself:-
Tell him that I have come to surrender to him. Name, Place, Lineage, Gothra (Creed), Knowledge and skill, wealth need not be mentioned to him for seeking his refuge. He is duty bound to come running the moment informs him that there is a person who has come seeking refuge. For a moment he may think May be the unpardonable sinner Ravana himself might have come and hence is he hesitating? I am not Enemy like Ravana; I am known for following the path of Dharma (Righteous conduct, Just, Duty, Pious, humble, Charitable, respectful, humble, Ethical, being Noble, all this done beyond expectation and without anticipation) though I am born in Rakshaksaa Clan. I am not the younger brother Kumbhakarna; Please convey to him that since my boyhood I have been in Devotion to Lord Rama and I am known as Vibheeshana. Since sole reason for Rama to give refuge to person coming to him is not bothered about his Lowly born Birth; hence there is no need to explain much to Rama.
Hurriedly:-
Sruthi says ‘the moment disattachment comes in that Moment Sanyas should be taken’ Like wise the moment the intellect felt I should take refuge in (Charanam) I have reached him. If he doesn’t save me it will only stain his Fame and observance of his Fast.If you felt that should not happen to Rama go quickly and inform Rama. It is greater sin to do Abacharam (Disrespectful behavior, discourteous, uncivilized) to his Devotee than to Rama.There is no remedy or atonement to it. God will never tolerate it. If you stop me and delay, you are likely to incur his wrath; hence quickly inform him. Human Body Is flimsical and can perish any moment. So when I have done Charanam to himand if you delay and in the meanwhile if I die, then he will get eternal Infamy of not saving the person who sought Charanam. Do not give room for that, so quickly inform Rama.
I Have Come here:-.
Now he doesn’t have to strain unlike earlier time when he came from Vaikuntam to save Gajendra, Prahlad and Dhruv. I have myself come here searching for him. What else is the obstacle for him to save me?)
Hearing this Sugreeva due to the excessive affinity for Rama forgetting his Wisdom, Power, Prowess “Rama has Limitless affinity towards Persons who says ‘I have done Charanam (Sought shelter)’ and the moment he hears these words he will support him without any misconception”. Wheras Sugreeva had other ideas based on his opinion of Vibheeshana and told Rama the following.
‘He is great Kapat (deception, cheat, Fraud, cunning); cruel; would he await an opportune moment to do Keduthi (Calamity, Misery, Catastrophe, Harm, Evil) for Rama?” Thus Sugreeva had misgivings about Very Pious Vibheeshanaand will anxiously run to Lakshamana who had similar opinions and seek his support and say “Ravana’s Younger brother Vibheeshana, has come with 4 Rakshasaas to surrender unto your goodselves. We have to enquire what is to be done and what needs to be discarded, formation of Army, using the decisions taken after enquiry, sending secretly Emissaries, all these rules are to be utilized with those belonging to uswe should find out about these parameters as to how it is happening in Enemy’s Army.if you do this all the Blessings will be conferred on you. These Rakshasaas can move around invisible to us; they know the art of deception well; they can take any Disguise they think; Valorous. We should never ever believe them. He is an emissary sent by Ravana confidentially; He will enter our Army and create Mutiny. If you say ‘if we accept a person from Enemy camp isn’t it reduction of strength for Enemy and addition of strength to us?’ Friends, those living in forests, the Armymen who have been with us for generations, and those soldiers who have been recruited at the time of needs by salaries (short service commission), we can accept and include them but not a person who come from the enemy. Further he is born from a Cruel Rakshasaa sect; he is the younger brother of your sworn enemy Ravana; he has come from his camp. Can we believe him? If you ask ‘can I forsake those who have sought asylum from me?”. He is using the great Upayam (route / approach / Suggestion / tactic / stragtegy / Path) he wants to earn your confidence, at the opportune moment he will cause Keduthi (Calamity, Misery, Catastrophe, Harm, Evil). So I feel it is justified kill this wicked person sent by Ravana. Your patience is Limitless, but shouldn’t we use it only for the right persons? If you say ‘Only when he attenpts to do Keduthi (Calamity, Misery, Catastrophe, Harm, Evil) we should punish him.’ He is very intelligent; without realising he has come to kill us and give him place in our Army, when we are in a disadavantageous position he will destroy us. If you ask ‘How can a single individual destroy Countless Armymen of ours?’ it becomes easy once he knows our strength and weakness. You must have heard that one Owl knowing the Crows can’t see in the night, can get into the nest and destroy all crows. He is Great wicked cruel Ravana’s brother. Earlier once out of mercy you left Mareecha escape without killing him like wise if you allow him to escape without killing him he can cause Havoc. First we should severe the heads of those who have come with him in his hands and then we should light his Head with Fire. We should not take his Life away with 1 Bhana (Arrow with feather). We should torture him cruelly.
Rama who had exceptioanl affinity towards, was searching for an appropritate reason to counter Sugreeva’s anxious suggestions. Though It took some time, he knew Sugreeva who had immense fatith in him will not feel bad, thought of inviting Vibheeshana who wants to join the Vanara Army but he can’t ask Sugreeva who was antagonised with Vibheeshana to fetch him. He addressed the people including Hanuman who were nearby ‘Friend! Did you hear the words about Vibheeshana from the Lord of Vanaraas? What he said has lot of meaning and with adequate reasons. Now that Sugreeva has spoken, you need not restrain your views without airing them. Friends who are Pious, intelligent, sagacious and well wisher on such occasions should necessaritly express his Opnion.” Said Rama.
Immediately the Senior Leaders amongst Vanaras without hesitation who sought Rama’s Hitham ( Palatable, Soothing counsel - in the interest / Good of You - well being) started telling their Opinion. “Lord! are there anything which is known t you in all these worlds? You want to earn the Fame that Rama is the Friend of Vanaras for that you are asking our opinions.You are a person who has a solemn pledge that you will give refuge to those seeking Charanam ( Refuge, Your Lotus Feet, Shelter, Asylum, Help, Support or all of these) without fail; You are great Valorous; One Who does not give up Dharma (Righteous conduct, Just, Duty, Pious, humble, Charitable, respectful, humble, Ethical, being Noble, all this done beyond expectation and without anticipation); You have undeterred Prowess; You undertake tasks after analyzing things by sagacious, Learned and well wishers; You never forget the help rendered (Grateful); you are totally bound in matters related to close Friends; hence the Minsiters who are sagacious, intelligent and Learned may express their opinions “they replied.
Then Angadha who was the Crown Prince next only to Sugreeva in Line of command, expressed his views in Testing Vibheeshana after considerable thought process thus “Despite the person from Enemy camp has sought Charanam (Refuge, Your Lotus Feet, Shelter, Asylum, Help, Support or all of these) we should assess if he is favourable or enimical, so quickly test him and then only we should trust him. Those who have Kapat (deception, cheat, Fraud, cunning) intellect will nicely hide their expressions such as Dress, conduct, feelings, gestures while conveying their Opinions and behave as though they are hosent straight forward Persons. When we are not alert they will harm us. That can become a means for great danger. So we should not believe them immediately. In order to assess their Virtues and Fallacies we shourl entrust them with some respeonsibility and some special Virtues are evidenced we can accept them; whereas special Dosh (Fallacy, defect, deficiency, flaw, offence, weakness, fault, imperfection, shortcoming, blame, catch, mistake, guilt, reflection, accused, culprit, delinquent, culpable, convice, blameworthy) with Many of these are exposed shun him. As there are no ideal person who is Perfect or Defect Free; if this Vibheeshana has many Good Virtues and few Flaws we can allows him to be part of us; whereas with Little Good Virutes and many Defects we should brush him aside” said Angadha.
Sarabhan thought “without appointing a person we cannot assess his Virtues and Dosh (Fallacy, deficiency, defect, flaw, offence, weakness, fault, imperfection, shortcoming, blame, catch, mistake, guilt, accused, reflection, culprit, delinquent, culpable, convice, blameworthy). Suddenly if you appoint him It can cause harm to friendships. So this opinion is not better than Sugreeva’s” thus he felt and spoke “ Lord ! the Upayam (route / approach / Suggestion / tactic /stragtegy/ Path) mentioned by Angadha is not practicable. Immediately send an adept person in this field and let us test him after verifying his justification and then after considerable thought we can approve Vibheeshana” said Sarabha.
Then sharp witted Jhambhavaan thought “by appointing him a job or testing his original behavior will not be exposed. Further there are very many reasons why we should not believe him” he gave opinion which will not be dangerous like others but those which was harping on his Virtues” Ravana is the head of Cruel natured Rakshasaas; greatest Sinner; he has endless enmity with us. This is not the right place for Vibheeshana. We are far away from Lanka. So there is no justification for him to fear us. What is benefit for him to come here? Futher this is not the right time for him to come to us. When there is a danger for his Lord and Brother is it the right time for Vibhheshana to foresake him? Whichever way you look at it we should suspect him” said Jabhavaan.
Then Miandha thought “It is justified to suspect him in all ways. But if we don’t test his Virtues and Fallacies in simple means, by chance are we losing a Friend who has been found? “cleverly said ‘ Lord ! in pleasant manner slowly slowly ask him details about matters relating to Ravana . By this his normal opinions will come to fore. If he is good man let us welcome him; if he is wicked reject him.’
Then Hanuman having a Deep Rooted Gyanam (Wisdom of yore) due to continued practice & application of Sashtras (Doctrines / Testament of Vedas) spoke his Opinion in a Honey like sweet words, precise manner with Clarity and beneficial to the occasion “Lord ! knower of all the Rules / ethics and intelligent, person who is unmatched capability of accomplishing the task , Jupiter who is adept in oration is also not qualified to speak on this subject than you. Nor am I going to tell which is unknown to you. Please do not consider this as Unncessary argument; out of jealousy with other Ministers; I am more intelligent than others or Hanuman is speaking with arrogance as he is a good orator. You gave me an opportunity by considering me worthy of being heard hence I dared to speak. Some of the Ministers opined ways to asses the Vritues and Detrimental Qualities. But it is not possible to test like that. Without appointing Vibheeshana in a Royal assignment with responsibility we can’t assess him if he is Good or Bad. Without knowing him if we appoint him it can befall danger. Hence both are inter related. (in a diplomatic way he is chiding other’s & Angahda’s opinions).
Some ministers said Emissaries can be tested and known. We have to know only those materials which are far way and hidden by sending emissaries Whereas this Vibheeshana is very closeby; you can see him physically; without any cover he is standing on the sky Lane. So I do not see any benefit by sending a confidente emissary. (Saraba’s opinion overturned).
Some Ministers feel the time and place he has chosen is not right. He is well aware after deep consideration that Ravana is a wicked Man Whereas you are a Noble Man; He has tested your Virtues and Faultiesalready ; since Ravana does not want to return Sita he is inviting Disaster for Rakshasaa Clan, also he is aware that you slained Kara Dhooshana, You killed Vali and crowned Sugreeva. He has also seen that you have made efforts to cross the sea which hitherto had not been crossed. He has intellectually inferred and assimilated that Ravana is unfavourable Doshas (Fallacy, deficiency, defect, flaw, offence, weakness, fault, imperfection, blame, shortcoming, catch, mistake, guilt, reflection, accused, culprit, delinquent, culpable, convice, blameworthy) and You have all the Virtues. It appears that his coming to you is in tune with Time and Country in all aspects (thus condemning Jhambhavaan).
Some Ministers expressed that those who do not know him can infer Vibheeshana’s nature. If one asks an intelligent man and a stranger ask querries ‘these people do not have faith in me, hence they are asking questions like this. What words will end in what consequences?’ - thus he will contemplate in many ways to reply and doubt us as well. A Friend who has come without any flaw and believing us if we deceitfully question him, he will turn into an Enemy. Mostly this strategy will not be beneficial. Those who think I am sagacious, it is virtually impossible for them to assess others from their words. Those who are asking in a deceitful manner not revaling what is their in their Mind when this is known to the Person who is being questioned, will make him also thing we should Deceitfully reply scuh deceitful speakers and there is nothing wrong in this and will not reveal their real intentions (Thus he condemned Maindha).
Thus I conveyed the shortcoming in others suggestions to the extent I know of. Now I submit my opinion. I have carefully looked at the words spoken by Vibheeshana. From that I am not able to determine that he is of wicked nature. His face is clear. So I do not have any Samshayam (Apprehension-Doubtful inferences) about him. Fellow who wants to do Treachery in secrecy will not come without a doubt in his Manam {Chitha (Memory) + Inner Conscience Mind + Intellect (Bhuddhi) +Ego} and unperturbed to us. Furhter there are no traces of Dosh (Fallacy, deficiency, defect, flaw, offence, weakness, fault, imperfection, shortcoming, blame, catch, mistake, guilt, reflection, accused, culprit, delinquent, culpable, convice, blameworthy) exhibited.So I have no doubt about Vibheeshana (When Hanuman spoke for the 1st time to Rama Lakshamana same reasons were cited by Rama that he is an Honest straight forward person). Extremely Cunning, deceitful person will hide deftly his inner Opinion. if you ask can you believe him? One may successfully hide Thoughts but Face will give way soon **(Face is the reflecrion of Inner Conflicts or beauty) somehow the thoughts of Manam { Chitha (Memory) + Inner Conscience Mind + Intellect(Bhuddhi) + Ego} will break the barriers can’t help expose it’s ugly expressions in the face. Furhter he is making efforts for the Tasks he expected to bear fruits will very soon which he had Timely cautioned the Rakshasaa clan, tried to stall the disaster for his People. There seems to be no fallacy in him. His Virtues are reflected in his actions by deeper understanding of the same. He knows You are Dharmavaan and his efforts will not work and that your efforts wil bear fruits especially. Since he knows your handed over Sugreeva the regime after slaying Vali, he is probably expecting you to install him as King of Lanka after slaying Ravana. Though he is Rakshasaa I have conveyed my opinion that he is Yoghyan (One who is honest, pure, capable, of flawless conduct, walks the talk, dependable to deliver, useful, has propriety and fitness has ability) from my inferenses with adequate reasons, Hence we can approve him.
